The Color Guard is a talented group of students in grades 9-12, led by Guard Director, KC Welch.  Together, they comprise a vital unit of the marching band, providing essential visual effect.  They combine dance, flags, rifles and sabers into a routine unique to the Liberty Color Guard.  The Color Guard performs with the Wentzville Liberty Band at all home football games and at several marching festivals in the fall.

Practices begin in May and run through July with a two week camp starting the last week of July followed quickly by one additional week at the beginning of August. Once school starts, practices begin each morning at 6:30 and run through first hour. In addition, the guard practices two evenings each week through late October.

Liberty's Color Guard is open to all students entering grades 9-12. Students are selected by competitive audition in April/May.  Audition information can be found posted around school and online. The Color Guard has been selected for the 2023 season.
